Pakistani fashion is going places, whether it’s London and Fashion Scout or India’s newfound love for all things this side of the border. Just last week, the social media was abuzz with pictures of veteran actress Zeenat Aman shopping at Sapphire. We all know of Sania Maskatiya’s small appearance on the cover of Cosmopolitan India in 2014 as Sonam Kapoor was spotted flaunting a bralet from one of the designer’s collections and later Shehla Chatoor was the choice of designer for actress Amy Jackson during one of the promotional events for her film Singh is Bliing. Joining this ever-growing list is Pakistan’s luxury label, Elan.
While people were wondering whether Fawad Khan was wearing Republic or not (he wasn’t), it was Alia Bhatt who sported a Pakistani label with Elan. Titled ‘Beauty and the Best’ it reveals Alia in an abundantly pink Elan gown, frills and all, sported up by her black sneakers. The amazing thing is that she looks more fun and a fearless woman than power puff girl, which girls usually look like in so much pink.
We couldn’t get through to Khadijah Shah (her lawn is releasing next week, which should be a good enough reason to know why she’s so busy) but we got a load of her Instagram account, which stated: “Love Alia Bhatt’s chic look in Elan for Filmfare Magazine.’ We love it too, and look forward to more hip and happening collaborations!
