ASSEN, Netherlands: Ducati continued their dominance in practice for the Dutch Grand Prix with Andrea Dovizioso posting the fastest time in the third session on Saturday.
The Italian headed the time sheets ahead of qualifying for Sunday´s race at Assen in 1min 33.308 with just a tenth of a second splitting the top four.
Former world champion Marc Marquez on a Honda was .028s back in second with Suzuki´s Maverick Vinales in third at 0.062.
Yamaha star Valentino Rossi, fresh from his second win of the MotoGP season in Barcelona and winner of this race last year, came in fourth.
Dovizioso´s Ducati teammate Andrea Iannone, who had dominated Friday´s two sessions, took fifth. The Dutch rider will start at the back of the grid for his home race after his clash with Jorge Lorenzo in Barcelona.
Rossi´s teammate and defending world champion Lorenzo took a tumble on his Yamaha early in the session. The Spaniard changed bikes and managed to squeeze into the top ten.
