MUMBAI: Pakistan-India Peoples' Forum for Peace and democracy (PIPFPD) has urged Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to help release the minor fishermen of Pakistan arrested on 11th May, 2016.
In a letter to Indian minister Pak-India Peoples’ Forum requested her to look into the issue of six arrested minor fishermen from Pakistan.
 “Our friends in the Pakistan have informed us that 18 Pakistani fishermen including six minors were arrested by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) from the Sir Creek area on May 11 2016 when they were catching fish,” the letter stated.
These fishermen are from village Rajin Thaheemore, Tehsil Shahbunder and District Sujawal and they are only 8 to 13 year old.
“We are requesting you to look into the issue of minor fishermen from the humanitarian angle and release and repatriate them to their nation,” the letter concluded.
