ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has reiterated the demand of PM Nawaz Sharif’s resignation and urged him to nominate someone else as Prime Minister until the Panama Leaks investigations are completed.
He said Nawaz Sharif has lost the moral justification to remain the Prime Minister after appearing the names of his children in Panama Papers.
He was talking to media along with former governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iftikhar Hussain who announced to join PTI.
Imran Khan said his party has three options to deal with the Panama Papers’ issue.
“First option, a commission should be formed under Chief Justice of Pakistan on Terms of References (ToRs) recommended by the 12-member committee,” he said, adding that the second option would be to unite the people.
“Third option is a legal clause on which we plan to run a campaign,” the PTI chief said.
He said the parliamentary committee is preparing new ToRs and he would suggest that Lawyers’ ToRs should also be included.
To a question about the premier’s visit to London for medical checkup, Imran said that he prayed for his good health.
