WASHINGTON: Reacting to the Orlando club shooting tragedy on Sunday, US President Barack Obama stated that America was in mourning and that investigations into the case were still going on.
According to details, the American President said that the Orlando club incident was the worst one in American history.
"We still aren't fully aware regarding the reasons for the Orlando attack," he said.
Obama also said that the FBI was conducting its investigations and probing the incident.
"We condemn every act of terrorism," said Obama. "Only through joint efforts, can we defeat terrorism."
The American President also said during his speech that providing safety to US citizens was his government's top priority. Obama also said that it was time the nation decided whether or not they wanted to see America like this.
The US President also disclosed that he had spoken to the Mayor of Orlando regarding the shooting incident.
A suspect identified as Omar Mateen charged a gay nightclub into the early hours of Sunday and opened fire on people present inside the club. Fifty people were killed and fifty-three others were injured in the attack.
