SOUTHAMPTON: Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir feels said that the cricket team would benefit from Mickey Arthur's coaching practices.
Amir said that he had also earlier played with Mickey Arthur. He said that Arthur always jelled with the players, which was a good thing. Amir spoke about the fitness camp ahead of the England tour and said that it would help improve players' fitness level and prevent injuries.
During an interview, Amir said that the national team's players learned a lot from Mickey Arthur, who was a brilliant coach. He also said that conditions in England were fantastic and all members of the Pakistan team were focused for the tour.
Amir said that the training camp which the Pakistan cricketers had taken part in was something he had never quite seen before and was quite impressed with.
He said the level of workout which the players did would aid them in warding off injuries and increasing their fitness level. In order to check fitness level, a fitness test every two weeks is a good idea, he said.
This will be the first time that Amir plays in England after the infamous 2010 Pakistan-England tour in which he and his fellow teammates Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt were accused and subsequently found guilty of spot-fixing.
